The Sacrament of Confirmation is a powerful moment in the life of a Catholic — a deepening of the grace first received at Baptism and a strengthening by the Holy Spirit to live your faith boldly. At St. Elizabeth Seton, candidates (teen or adult) prepare through prayer, study, community involvement, and reflection on their identity as Christians. During the celebratory Mass, the bishop or priest lays hands on the candidate, invokes the Holy Spirit, and anoints with chrism oil — commissioning them to witness Christ in their daily lives and to share in the mission of the Church.
